Seniors in need of basic hearing aid maintenance services can turn to Santa Clarita Hearing Center for no-contact assistance from the comfort of their own homes.
“It’s a very interesting time for us, because the people who need our services at Santa Clarita Hearing Center tend to be on the older side, and we’re really encouraging people not to leave their homes because of COVID,” said Dr. Ginny Veloz.
To accommodate this need to stay home, Veloz and the team at Santa Clarita Hearing Center will stop by the houses of their senior patients to pick up hearing aids that need basic maintenance services without any need for contact.
“If there’s somebody who is wearing hearing aids that simply needs a cleaning, batteries, filters, things like that, we are happy to go by the house,” Veloz said, explaining that the patient can leave the hearing device on their porch.
Staff from Santa Clarita Hearing Center will inform the patient when they will be coming by to get the hearing aid, and will take it back to their office to finish any necessary services.
“(We’ll) do what needs to be done and then return them to you with batteries or whatever supplies you might need,” Veloz said. “That way, you stay home, everybody stays safe, no contact — that’s what we really encourage right now.”
